The Limited Liability Company is a popular alternative to the corporation. It is a hybrid entity that provides the limited liability of the corporation with the taxation status of a partnership, making it a pass-through entity. LLC’s are available in all 50 states. Similar to an S Corporation, except that an S Corporation cannot have more than 75 shareholders. Think of an LLC as an “S Corporation without the 75 shareholder limit.”
